110. Secrets, cheats, and compiled game credits.
Date: 26th of December, 2004
Updated By: Solo
Merry Christmas every one! I hope you've all enjoyed yourselves (or are enjoying yourselves at the moment for most countries), in whatever way you or your family have chosen to celebrate the festive season.
Lance Way has been busy, writing up a new Secrets guide for the original Panzer Dragoon game. There's a few things that most you probably won't have heard of on these pages, so they're worth skimming through at least if you own one of the three versions of this game. He has also compiled the complete list of passwords for Panzer Dragoon Mini (previously I'd only listed the passwords for the Blue Dragon). As these pages cover much more than the previous game specific secrets pages did, I've taken the old pages down. Lance has also added and updated a few parts of his Panzer Dragoon Saga Secrets Guide - all the major updates are marked, so you won't have to worry about reading through the whole guide again if you already have.
As if he hadn't contributed enough to the site for this update, Lance has also sent me the credits for the first three Panzer Dragoon games (and he tells me the Panzer Dragoon Orta credits are on the way too). Thanks a great deal for all this, Lance, I'm sure the Panzer Dragoon community appreciates it. :)

109. Some long, overdue updates.
Date: 18th of December, 2004
Updated By: Solo
I've decided to update The Will of the Ancients with a few things that should have been done months ago. First off, I've finally made a proper Videos section so that it now merges with the rest of the site. Each video has page to itself, with a one to three paragraph description per video. For those who haven't seen it, I've also added footage of Panzer Dragoon X which was "leaked" onto the net around 2001. More details are available here.
I've also decided to clean up the site a bit by removing a few of the more questionable files (GiriGiri Saturn, Cassini, the Saturn BIOS, and the Panzer Dragoon Mini ROM). They really shouldn't have been put up in the first place, but considering the rarity of some of these files it was easy to justify hosting them. If you still want them, email me. Lance's GiriGiri save files will still be available in the Accessories section.
On a more official note, there's a new Panzer Dragoon Orta book available which can be purchased from sites such as Amazon.co.jp. The book is likely to be completely in Japanese, although the cover has the subheading "Kaze To Akatsuki No Musume" in English characters which means "The Daughter of Wind and Dawn" (thanks, lordcraymen, for the translation!). The book seems to be a retelling of Panzer Dragoon Orta, although I'm unsure if it's simply a novelisation of the game, or a graphic novel. I'm hoping for the latter, since it's highly unlikely to be released outside of Japan.

108. More news on the Panzer front.
Date: 3rd of December, 2004
Updated By: Geoffrey Duke
The webmaster of Shin Force has added a whole new section to his site devoted to the Panzer Dragoon series, which includes reviews of each game in the series (with the exception of Panzer Dragoon Mini), as well as artwork, cheats, codes and more. Shinobi's site is one of my favourite sources for reviews of Sega games, so it's worth checking out if you haven't already.
On another matter, it seems that Jeremy's site (mentioned in the previous update) was downsized to a free plan, meaning his site can no longer host most of the content it hosted before (including the Panzer Dragoon OVA). This also means that his site has changed addresses once again. I'm not sure what happened exactly, but I hope that those of you who were eager to see the Panzer Dragoon anime for themselves (however awful it may be) grabbed it while they could. I've updated the links section to include where you can find his site now.

107. Greetings from TWOTA.
Date: 25th of November, 2004
Updated By: Geoffrey Duke
After a long absence I've finally returned to bring you more news on the Panzer Dragoon front. All sources indicate that 2005 will be a good year for Sega since Sega fully intends to resurrect more of its older franchises from the dead, so perhaps not all hope of seeing a true RPG sequel to Panzer Dragoon Saga is lost yet. You never know what the future holds. If you want my advice, Sega fans should keep their eyes on the two new Shining Force games destined to emerge sooner or later, especially the second Shining Force game which is rumoured to be a Strategy/RPG (I really hope there's some truth to that rumour). All I really want is a true Shining Force game (by true I mean a game that remains true to its Strategy/RPG roots) with next generation graphics. Is that really too much to ask Sega?
Anyway, back to the task at hand. In this update I'd just like to direct everyone's attention to Jeremy Prusak's relatively new website devoted to Panzer Dragoon Saga again. The site itself has been flooded with new content including the complete Panzer Dragoon Saga OST as well as a specially edited version of the Panzer Dragoon anime. The site did actually disappear for a while but reappeared on a new server.
Next, Matt has created a trailer for another fake Panzer Dragoon RPG entitled Panzer Dragoon Incubos, which you can download here. I've also added a poster he made for the fictitious game to the fan art section, which can be viewed by clicking here. It makes me wonder who or what the next Panzer Dragoon RPG will be named after... if we ever see one of course; hopefully, the next game's namesake will be a noble admiral of the Imperial armada hellbent on protecting his people from "the dragon witch" at any cost. Oh yes. I can see it now.
As for me... I'm putting some finishing touches to a piece of work I should've finished a long time ago. Chris also plans to focus on TWOTA a lot more in the weeks to come just as soon as he finds the time.

106. I wonder what's on the other side of the wall?
Date: 18th of October, 2004
Updated By: Solo
I've been a bit busy lately (okay, playing RPGs), so I haven't created anything new for the site for this update. I have a couple of things in a half-finished state, so if I get to work again at least one of them should be ready for Update 107.
Lance, however, has been busy creating a new Secrets Guide for Panzer Dragoon Saga. This seven page guide covers all of the hidden features of the game, including how to get 100% completion, cheats, unlockables, and oddities that weren't meant to be included in the final game. It's an excellent guide for someone who has already played through the game, and wants to make sure that he or she has seen *everything* that the game has to offer. I've taken down the old Panzer Dragoon Saga secrets page, since Lance's guide covers everything that was on that page anyway.
Also for this update, Pedro Pitéu has created the first fan art of Edge's nemesis, Lord Craymen of the Black Fleet. The Fan Art section is also home to another new addition; Igor Sandman (who created the render of Cainus on Page 2) has made another 3D model of one of those patrol pure type monsters from the fourth episode of Panzer Dragoon Zwei. I have no idea what that 'creature' is actually called, but it looks great nonetheless.

105. A couple of new articles and a piece of fan art.
Date: 10th of September, 2004
Updated By: Solo
Firstly, Pedro Pitéu from Portugal has submitted a new piece of fan art. It's a well drawn sketch of Lagi in his growth form that he starts out as in the first episode of Panzer Dragoon Zwei.
Lance Way has also contributed two new articles for the site. The first, is a summary of the Hunters which I've placed into the Factions section. It sums up this often overlooked (compared to the Empire and the Seekers) group of people from the Panzer Dragoon world. The second piece of writing that Lance has contributed is a new Sky Rider theory that compares this mysterious figure with the Dark Dragon's Rider and comes up with some new arguments as to why the Sky Rider is likely to have been a drone.

104. A new Panzer Dragoon Saga music video.
Date: 7th of September, 2004
Updated By: Solo
Matt has submitted a new music video called Dangerous Friendships, which features footage from Panzer Dragoon Saga with music from the pop song "See it in a Boy's Eyes" by Jamelia. The video is about the relationship between Edge and Azel and should run in a media player such DivX. The video appears stretched in certain versions of DivX, so if you encounter this problem it can be remedied by simply making the movie full screen (Alt+Enter).
Speaking of music videos, it's worth mentioning that Sega Xtreme now host three Panzer Dragoon music videos. Recently they added a Panzer Dragoon Orta video called "Always Alone" which I think is definitely worth checking out if you're a fan of the game. It's located in the Movies, Sega Game Music Videos subsection under "Xbox Music Videos" if you're interested.
Geoff has also added some extra images to his Sky Rider summary and updated/altered the text a little.

103. It's been a while.
Date: 24th of August, 2004
Updated By: Solo
I haven't updated this site personally for over two months, so it's great to get back to a good old TWotA content update. First up, Lance Way has rewritten his entire Different Dragons Theory, because he thought that some of the arguments could do with improving. The theory is now a massive two pages long, and can found by following this link. Lance has also submitted a brand new theory about the nature of the dragon. It goes into a lot of the questions that many of us have probably asked regarding the origins of the dragon, and the dragon's purpose. A great read, actually.
Matt has sent in a new piece of fan art of the Tower of Uru. Also, he's composed a neat MIDI of the fourth episode of Panzer Dragoon Zwei (I'm listening to it as I type this, actually). Matt also submitted something else for the site, but I'm afraid you'll have to be kept in suspense until next update as there's a few things I need to work out with him first.
I've also added the improved version of GiriGiri, known as Cassini, to the Programs section. If you're having trouble getting it to work, there's a topic on the Holy District forum where you can ask for help.
Lastly - and this is off topic - I recommend to all you web surfers out there to switch your web browser over to Mozilla Firefox. After using it and then going back to Internet Explorer, I can safely say that Firefox is a lot better thanks to it's tabbed interface, built in pop up blocker... and the fact that it actually displays web pages correctly according to the standards set down by the World Wide Web Consortium. I'm a convert: Firefox rules and is the future.

102. The deal with the drone.
Date: 12th of August, 2004
Updated By: Geoffrey Duke
I decided to spend less time posting online and more time writing articles for the site. In my latest endeavour (spelt endeavor in America) to bring my previous work up to standard, I updated my Race of Drones Theory with new images and less fallible arguments. Did Abadd make a deal with the Empire? Did he offer his help to spawn the Empire's dragonmares in exchange for the capture and retrieval of Orta? Maybe one day will we find out; until then, we can only speculate. I must thank D-Unit again for taking the screenshots I've used of Abadd's mare for me (I may add more images if and when appropriate).
Edit: I've since added a few more images to the aforementioned theory as well as some additional text.
More articles will be coming soon, so stayed tuned.

101. More artwork arrives.
Date: 8th of August, 2004
Updated By: Geoffrey Duke
We've been extremely busy lately but we have plenty of updates planned. In this update, Matt, the webmaster of Panzer Dragoon Saga for dummies has contributed two new pieces of artwork of Lagi which you can view here and here. Next, Behonkiss has drawn a cartoony image of Orta being showered with snow appropriately entitled "Orta in the blizzard". Check it out. All of these new pieces of artwork are worthy of your attention.
I'm in the middle of improving two older articles hosted by the site at the moment, so hopefully they will be finished soon. So far, I've overhauled the Towers section again. I've fixed a number of broken links and added many new high resolution screenshots captured via Giri Giri (many of which replace the normal resolution screenshots I used before). The irony is when I finally managed to get Giri Giri working in Windows XP, someone released an XP compatible version!
We should be adding some new original articles to the site too, so expect more updates soon.
