90. Minor update.
Date: 25th of February, 2004
Updated By: Geoffrey Duke
Lance Way has contributed several GiriGiri Panzer Dragoon Saga saved games/save files to The Will of The Ancients, which you can now download from the accessories section. I'm sure someone will find them useful, though in my eyes emulation just doesn't compare to playing my good old Saturn on my ageing PAL TV.
I've updated the non-Panzer Dragoon links page in the links section with three new Sega sites the Sega fans who inevitably visit the community here might find worthwhile if they haven't found those sites by themselves already. There are very few decent Sega fansites online as it is, so rather than remain a bunch of scattered nomads, we should point traffic in each other's direction. If you want me to add another Sega site to the links section, let me know. Hopefully we should have some new and interesting content ready for the next update. Until then, pray for a new Panzer Dragoon RPG. :)

89. The first completed fanfic with more than one chapter.
Date: 18th of February, 2004
Updated By: Solo
There are three new things for this update. Firstly, The Sharp Edge has submitted the final three chapters of his fanfic, Panzer Dragoon: War of Dawn. It's great to finally have a finished multi-chapter story in the Fan Fiction section. Well done for being the first to finish, Sharpie :)
Also, Lance Way has compiled together his ideas to form a Different Dragons Theory. The theory discusses the possibility of the Heresy Dragon occupying different bodies in each of the three Saturn Panzer games. While I personally still believe that it was Lagi in all four Panzer Dragoon games, the theory is detailed and lengthy, being backed up along with the way with convincing evidence. Definitely worth a read.
Last but not least, Rune Lai has submitted a Panzer Dragoon music video to this site. It's called Panzer Dragoon Saga - For Edge and Azel, featuring clips from the game and the song "Name" by the Goo Goo Dolls. I won't spoil anything else, so if you're interested it can be downloaded by clicking here. The video is in .wma format, so you'll need a Media Player capable of running that format to play it. Winamp 5 should do the trick. It's also compressed so WinRAR or a similar utility is required to view the video too.

88. Fanfics are extended, fan art is added at last.
Date: 2nd of February, 2004
Updated By: Solo
I've been meaning to add some of this content for a while, so i'm glad that the time has come when this update is now actualised. I realise that some of the content that others have submitted has not been included in this update, but rest assured that I will add everything that has be sent to me so far, in time. Here's what's new for the Will of the Ancients in update 88:
Chapter 5: Fading Away of The Sharp Edge's story, Panzer Dragoon: War of Dawn.
Episode 3: Warmer of Gehn the Berserker's episodic fanfic, 02.
A piece of fan art called "Loneliness" by Nevey.
Another piece of fan art by Nevey called "One cold dark night...".
I only just found those last two pictures in my inbox recently, even though they were sent in December. My apologies for not adding them sooner, Nevey.

87. Is there a new Panzer Dragoon game in development?
Date: 30th of January, 2004
Updated By: Solo
You may have heard that a new Panzer Dragoon RPG is in the works. Yesterday a video was released onto the Internet; a screener that showed leaked footage of what was supposably the next Panzer Dragoon game: Panzer Dragoon Genos. Unfortunately, after some discussion, it was revealed that the video of Panzer Dragoon Genos was indeed a fake, much to the dismay of optimistic Panzer fans.
However, the trailer is actually very convincing and I would recommend the download to all Panzer Dragoon fans. Lord Craymen and Senor Kaffee, who made the trailer, have released normal and high quality DivX versions on gamefront.de. It's a German site, but if you scroll down the main page you should be able to find the link with relative ease.

86. New content knows no bounds.
Date: 17th of January, 2004
Updated By: Geoffrey Duke
To start the proceedings our good friend Neil has finally (and I stress the finally) finished writing a new summary for the factions section he promised us so long ago about The New Empire. Thanks Neil. :)
Next, Daniel Vonboles has begun writing a new piece of fan fiction about a group of noble rogues (my favourite kind of people) conspiring from within what's left of the Empire after the events of Panzer Dragoon Saga to pave a new path for mankind leading to a better future. I'm looking forward to more well-written fan fiction in the future.
And last but not least, two new theories have been introduced to the already brimming theories section. Jeremy Prusak has written a theory about the main factors contributing to the downfall of the ancient civilization. I, myself, on the other hand have often wondered where the theories about the Heresy dragon's entrance into the world end and where the facts begin, so I decided to explore a few ideas and tie a few facts together. Enjoy.

85. The Mystery of Abadd's Masters and more...
Date: 10th of January, 2004
Updated By: Solo
I've written a short summary of one of the most fascinating mysteries of the Panzer Dragoon world, The Mystery of Abadd's Masters. While this is probably somewhat predictable to most you, it raises two important questions - who were they and why did they go into hibernation?
The Sharp Edge has also written the fourth chapter his fanfic, Panzer Dragoon: War of Dawn. The story is starting to become quite interesting, especially with the introduction of familiar characters from more than one Panzer Dragoon game. There is more fan fiction in the process of being written too.

84. New Scourage of the Terrablossom fanfic and a theory.
Date: 6th of January, 2004
Updated By: Solo
To start the new year off, Arc'engal has submitted a fanfic that explains more about the hybrids from Scourage of the Terrablossom universe that belong to the dreaded Brotherhood of Sestren. It's an interesting read - well worth checking out if you enjoyed the main Scourage storyline.
Jeremy Prusak and Justin Pasternak have also jointly written a theory about the human who's DNA was used by Azel to create Orta. Was he Edge - or someone else? This theory speculates about another character who may have been Orta's father.

83. Merry Christmas for the day before yesterday.
Date: 27th of December, 2003
Updated By: Solo
Firstly, I hope everyone had an enjoyable Christmas. Since before the Christmas break I've been meaning to add two new theories to this site. Jeremy Prusak has written a theory about the next dragon rider. He has also taken a different approach at looking at Zoah's Book of Genesis. In a theory I wrote a few months ago I discussed the possibility of the Ancients being the gods this book speaks of. Jeremy's theory discusses one point I hadn't delved too far into: the creation of humans.
Gorka Bolea, a Spanish fan of the Panzer Dragoon series, has drawn three pictures of Azel from Panzer Dragoon Saga. All three are great and show the artist's interpretation of Azel from various angles. The images can viewed by clicking on the links below:

82. More literature.
Date: 16th of December, 2003
Updated By: Solo
The Sharp Edge has completed the third chapter of his fan story, Panzer Dragoon: War of Dawn. For those who haven't read the first few chapters, the story tells of fictional events that happened after Panzer Dragoon Saga, explaining what happens to some key characters.
Jeremy Prusak has sent me a theory about the Garil Desert. While this theory contradicts the Panzer Dragoon map, it brings up some worthwhile points about the similarities between two locations.
Last of all (for this update), Justin Pasternak has contributed a theory about the languages used in the Panzer Dragoon world. Are their specific symbols and characters used by those in the Panzer Dragoon universe? Read on...

81. New content from external fans.
Date: 10th of December, 2003
Updated By: Solo
Jeremy Prusak has written a new theory regarding the creatures of the Panzer Dragoon world. Were the natural animals simply wiped out along with the Ancient civilisation, or is there more regarding this interesting topic? The theory brings up several explanations.
Nevey has also drawn a touching picture showing us what might happen if Orta was ever reunited with her mother at last. I can't imagine something like this happening in the dark world that Orta lives in, but who knows? It's always nice to explore another possibility, another path that could have been trodden.
