80. Fanfics of the past and the present.
Date: 4th of December, 2003
Updated By: Solo

Solo Firstly, Gehn the Berserker has written the second episode of his play-like fanfic, 02. This time the episode is from the Empire's perspective.

Also, I've written the first three chapters of my own piece of fan fiction called The Fall of the Lost Civilisation. I actually started this story last year believe it or not, but other things have kept me from uploading it and I wanted to have a decent amount of the story written before I did so. The fanfic is set ten thousand years before Panzer Dragoon Orta... so I think you should be able to guess what the lost civilisation is.

79. The fan fiction phase.
Date: 3rd of December, 2003
Updated By: Solo

Solo There seems to be a lot of interest in writing Panzer Dragoon fan fiction recently, which is great news. Of all this site's content, I'd have to say that the Fan Fiction section is one of the most worthwhile because it discusses the possibility of "what if" something happened as well as fulfilling the role of a form of entertainment.

For this update, the first addition to this section is a new fanfic simply called "02". Gehn the Berserker plans to write multiple episodes set out in a play form, with this being the first. Also, The Sharp Edge has finished the second chapter of his fanfic, Panzer Dragoon: War of Dawn. I have my own little addition to this section planned for the next update as well :)

Also worth noting is that Geoffrey Duke has added an extra paragraph to the bottom of his Gold Dragon Theory discussing the colour change of the dragon found in the seventh episode of Panzer Dragoon Orta.

78. More updates!
Date: 26th of November, 2003
Updated By: Geoffrey Duke

Geoffrey Duke The Sharp Edge has written the next part of his story which can be found in the fan fiction section as per usual. For those of us who cannot get enough of the Panzer Dragoon world, it's always good to see more fan fiction.

Also, I've added another theory to the theories section about our good old friend Abadd. Truth be told, I just wanted an excuse to upload a cool CGI image of him we've had for some time now. What separates Abadd from Azel in terms of design I wonder?

77. Of facts and fiction.
Date: 23rd of November, 2003
Updated By: Solo

Solo Firstly, I'd like to announce the coming of a new section to The Will of the Ancients. The Mysteries section starts with four summaries containing factual (or as close to fact as you can get with a video game) summaries of various mysteries in the Panzer Dragoon world. Geoff came up with the idea and it seemed like a logical choice for a new section as the series contains so many questions worth discussing. More mysteries can be expected in the future too, especially if fans submit their own.

The Sharp Edge has also begun writing a new fanfic called Panzer Dragoon: War of Dawn. So far he has written the Prelude which sums up the events at the end of Panzer Dragoon Saga and has promised me he'll do his best to continue the story.

76. The Empire expands its influence.
Date: 26th of October, 2003
Updated By: Solo

Solo As I checked my emails early this afternoon, I was pleasantly surprised to find the first Panzer Dragoon Orta MIDI awaiting me. Thomash Lee can be thanked for creating the MIDI of Saori Kobayashi's Gigantic Fleet, the theme of the fourth episode of Panzer Dragoon Orta. The MIDI itself is very nicely done and will also be available on VGMusic.com, where a more detailed summary of the MIDI will be able to be viewed soon.

75. Generic update.
Date: 20th of October, 2003
Updated By: Geoffrey Duke

Geoffrey Duke Updates have been few and far between recently due to a shortage of time. However, rest assured that we have plenty of content planned for the future, both near and distant. I feel we need more Panzer Dragoon Orta content, so I wrote a little piece of prose regarding something that has crossed the minds of Orta fans everywhere at least once: her gun which up until the time of her escape was obviously invisible the whole time. There can be no other explanation! How else could the gun have appeared out of nowhere?

I've narrated illustrated moments leading up to the escape to focus on a few oddities (namely gaps in time and the lack of a gun at any point during the initial cinematics), and put forward an idea or two that might equate to something reasonable theory-wise.

If any fan would like to write another theory to explain where the gun came from (anything within reason), TWOTA will gladly host it.

74. Speculation and art.
Date: 8th of September, 2003
Updated By: Solo

Solo I haven't compiled any theories for Panzer Dragoon in quite a few months now, so I decided to write up a theory that I came up with at the old Excavation Camp (R.I.P) forums. This theory talks about the ancient texts of Zoah ...what if there was a hint of truth within them? Most importantly, can these books give us an insight on how, or more importantly why, the Ancient Age perished in the dust?

Also, a contribution to the Fan Art section has been made in the form of a 3D render of the ruins of Cainus. Many thanks for this image, Bruno.

73. The Sky Rider: Reloaded.
Date: 2nd of September, 2003
Updated By: Geoffrey Duke

Geoffrey Duke Just a minor update. I've written another theory revolving around Panzer Dragoon Saga's Excavation Site and its possible sources of intrigue for the Heresy dragon. Plus, I've rewritten and reorganized much of my old, defunct Sky Rider Theory to include many new images that tie in with my Excavation Site Theory (I kept only some of the old text). I deliberately cross linked the two for the benefit of our readers who'll see what I mean if you look closely enough. :)

Yes, I'm aware of the fact that the Sky Rider wasn't Lundi, but here we can see why we might be led to that conclusion.

I've also added some extra images to my summary of Lundi in the factions section which give a better impression of the trials he was forced to endure.

72. The Will of the Ancients IRC channel.
Date: 9th of August, 2003
Updated By: Solo

Solo For the members of the Will of the Ancients forums (although anyone is welcome to join), I have created an IRC channel to discuss Panzer Dragoon topics in real time. For those who don't know, IRC stands for Internet Relay Chat, a fast and popular chat medium for typing conversations to one another across the Internet. The details are:

IRC Server: irc.lunarnet.org
Port: 6667
Channel: #panzerdragoon

For more detailed instructions, see the Chat section, which has a step-by-step guide to connecting to #panzerdragoon using mIRC.

71. Restructured forums and other additions.
Date: 2nd of August, 2003
Updated By: Solo

Solo The current forums have been restructured. There are now three forums, the Seeker's Stronghold, the Liberal District, and the Holy District. Hopefully this change will benefit the Panzer Dragoon community. I've made a thread explaining the changes, so post any questions you might have there.

A new skin has been submitted by Scorbutman. It works best if you're using Winamp 2, however the main part still shows up in Winamp 3. You can download it from the Skins section. Also, Neil has written a poem about the drones of the Ancients, which can be read here.
