70. A poem, a faction summary, and a piece of fan art.
Date: 28th of July, 2003
Updated By: Solo

Solo In the Fan Art section you'll find an anime picture of Orta. It's a nice change from the usual more serious looking CG version of the character. The image was created by Butleri. Also the Poems section has been updated with "Wings of a Dragon", a neat poem about the dragon. Thanks to Edge Celize for this one.

Also, I have finally completed a Seeker summary, which I started back before the Factions section was even up, back in April! It's good to finish things like this off at last and I hope readers of this site will enjoy it as much as I ended up enjoying writing it.

69. New "World" section and Panzer Dragoon Saga screenshots.
Date: 24th of July, 2003
Updated By: Solo

Solo There's just a couple of updates to the site tonight, but they are fairly large. First up is a new section that I have been meaning to add for quite some time. The World section features all of the text from the world part of Panzer Dragoon Orta's encyclopedia. Many many thanks to Sestrenegade for compiling all of this information, it must have taken a great proportion of time.

Also, I have been taking screenshots with the GiriGiri emulator and have added thirty screenshots from Panzer Dragoon Saga to the Screenshots section. It would be safe to expect some more in the future. The new screenshots can be viewed by clicking here.

68. Yet another theory!
Date: 20th of July, 2003
Updated By: Geoffrey Duke

Solo Wing Dragon The Divine Visitor is said to be the player. The halls of official sources echo with the words, "Must I spell it out for you? It is the player!", but I shall nevertheless pursue a topic that is still very much open to question like a hound dog hungry for fleshy answers. Well, what do you expect from one such as I? Smilebit want people to believe the Divine Visitor has no story to tell by covering up the real Divine Visitor under the guise of player status in order to use it as a future plot device. Of course, I exist to expose the truth! My theory shall do just that. :)

In all seriousness, I am merely exploring all the angles. The Panzer Dragoon games are renowned for their mysteries and I hope more fans will put forth their ideas without fear of being automatically deemed wrong.

67. The flow of Panzer content never stops.
Date: 6th of July, 2003
Updated By: Geoffrey Duke

Geoffrey Duke First and foremost, Neil has written the ninth chapter of his ever-revelatory fan faction, Panzer Dragoon X. The story is shaping up into something quite special.

I've also put together two pieces of illustrated literature that I hope our readers will find entertaining. The Old Empire, in other words the Empire gracing our screens throughout the original Saturn Panzer Dragoon trilogy, is more than deserving of a page in the factions section all unto itself. And I've added a new Panzer Dragoon Ending Theory to the theories section.

One last point of interest is a new Sky Rider theory our growing forum members have steadily nurtured. A wild idea I know, but was the Sky Rider really working for the Empire? This is the stuff sweet theories are made of!

66. The Will of the Ancients forums are online.
Date: 3rd of July, 2003
Updated By: Solo

Solo The new forums, titled "The Tower of Uru" and "Uru Underground Ruins" are ready for posting on. All the guff you need to know is basically in the first thread on the Tower of Uru forum, but if there are any questions or problems please leave a message or send me an email. These forums are incomplete in design, but should be fully working and ready for Panzer Dragoon discussion.

65. New forums soon.
Date: 3rd of July, 2003
Updated By: Solo

Solo Right. So if you're an active member of the Panzer Dragoon community you're probably come here to find where on earth the new forums are. For those of you who visit this site but weren't a member of the Die Welt von Panzer Dragoon forums, let me explain:

Yesterday, lordcraymen, who is in charge of the panzerdragoon.de forums told me his intentions to close the Excavation Camp and the Town of Zoah forums completely. As the Panzer Dragoon community would otherwise be homeless, I have agreed to host a new set of forums for fans of the series on this website. The Tower of Uru (name subject to change) will carry on what the Excavation Camp started - it will act as a place for fans to discuss anything Panzer related.

However, please note that these are completely new forums! Due to the number of bugs on the old forums and the increasing difficulty to backup the database, the new forums will *not* contain the existing messages and rankings, so you will have to do a clean sign up once again.

The Tower of Uru should be online later today, but it will by no means be complete. I will be working on a nicer layout over the next few weeks.

64. New URL: http://www.panzerdragoon.net
Date: 29th of June, 2003
Updated By: Solo

Solo The Will of the Ancients now has its own domain, panzerdragoon.net. It's fitting for a site that is made up of content from so many Panzer Dragoon fans. I would advise people to update their bookmarks although with an address this short it should be easy enough to remember :)

I bought the domain along with 250 megabytes of webspace several days ago through E-Starr Webhosting. It means that the site will be able to grow bigger, hopefully with more interactive features.

Thanks to the new domain, my email address is now solowingdragonSPAMISTHEEQUIVALENTOFCOOLIADUNG@gmail.com - I will continue to check the old one for a while however.

I should also note that I have decided to refrain from posting spoiler warnings on this site from now on. Panzer Dragoon Orta has been out for three months in Europe so everyone should have had a decent length of time to play through it. You have been warned.

63. Mega website update.
Date: 27th of June, 2003
Updated By: Solo

Solo Well the holidays have finally come for me which means that I have more time to work on improving this website :) The amount of stuff I've been meaning to add in the last few weeks has mounted up so this update will feature a total of nine additions. Yes, you heard me correctly, nine, a record for this site! So without further delay, here they are in no particular order:

- A poem called The Mirrored Walls Of Reflections, written by Neil.
- A remix from Panzer Dragoon Orta called More than a Weapon, by SuperGreenX.
- Panzer Dragoon X Chapter 7, written by Neil.
- Panzer Dragoon X Chapter 8, written by Neil.
- A summary of the dragon rider Kyle, written by Geoffrey Duke.
- Another summary of Kyle (yep, two of them!) written by Neil.
- A poem called The Crest, written by Neil.
- A poetic fanfic called Mammoth Keys To Resplendence, written by Neil.
- A Trivia section.

The Trivia section is something that I have been meaning to add for a while. It only features an Easy quiz at the moment, but I plan to add a harder quiz in the future.

62. Two sections updated.
Date: 1st of June, 2003
Updated By: Solo

Solo Firstly, the Poems section has been extended with a new Poem about Iva, the main character of the Imperial side quest in Panzer Dragoon Orta. It was written by Neil and can be read by clicking here. It *Contains Orta Spoilers*.

Also, Geoffrey Duke has written a summary of the Pure Breed/Blooded Monsters from Panzer Dragoon and Panzer Dragoon Saga. It can be read here.

What would you, the Panzer Dragoon fan, like to see in the future on this website? I have a few ideas which I hope to implant, but it would nice to hear what other people think would make a good, interactive, web experience. I'm not promising anything, but drop me an email if you think of something interactive that might be a worthwhile addition to The Will of the Ancients.

61. New section and moderator.
Date: 8th of May, 2003
Updated By: Solo

Solo The new section is a Poems section. So far there are two poems, one about the 8th Emperor and also a poem describing the desolate world created by the horrors from the Ancient Age. Submissions are welcome, as the Panzer Dragoon world is just asking to be made into a descriptive passage. Click here to view the Poems section.

I have also made Geoffrey Duke, who has contributed a great deal to the Literature sections of this site, a moderator. From this day onwards any changes to the website will be marked as updated by either him or myself, to save confusion of whose opinion and writing style it is. All past updates were of course written by me.
