60. Factions And fan art sections updated.
Date: 27th of April, 2003
Updated By: Solo

Solo First up I have written a summary describing Edge, the dragon rider of Panzer Dragoon Saga. You can read it by clicking here. It *Contains Orta Spoilers*. If anyone is interested in making a contribution to the Factions section please send me an email saying what you would like to write so we don't get any double ups. This site is made up of fan content, I don't see why the Factions section should be an exception.

Speaking of fan content, Neo-Kun has sent me an oekaki of Azel he made about a year ago. It's not poop, no matter what he says :) You can view the image in the Fan Art section.

59. Additions to the factions and theories sections.
Date: 23rd of April, 2003
Updated By: Solo

Solo The Factions section was only launched a few days ago and already I have had a submission for it. Neil has written a Dragonmare summary, which describes these foul beasts that roam the lands in Panzer Dragoon Orta. It *Contains Orta Spoilers*.

Also, Geoffrey Duke has written a new Sky Rider theory. His new idea is that the Sky Rider could have actually been part of the Heresy program. Have a read of it to see how possible this idea actually is!

58. The Will of the Ancients version 2 and factions section.
Date: 19th of April, 2003
Updated By: Solo

Solo Over the last few months I have been working on a new design for this website - here it is at last. It's slower to load, but I think it is much easier on the eyes. Let me know what you think of it and if you spot any incorrect information, broken links, or spelling errors.

Remember months ago I promised a new section? Well it is finally ready. The Factions section consists of summaries that Geoffrey Duke and I have been writing over the last few months. So far there are five, but several others are in progress.

I took down the Chat and Email sections. The email service had become unreliable and all the links to chat rooms no longer worked. I would rather this site be quality than quantity.

57. Play Panzer Dragoon Saga in 1600x1200 on your PC!
Date: 16th of April, 2003
Updated By: Solo

Solo This is no joke :)

GiriGiri Saturn, the first completed Saturn emulator, can now be downloaded by clicking here. So far the results are amazing, although you will need a beast to run it. I tried it on a 500Mhz Pentium III and Panzer Dragoon Saga ran at about 5 frames per second, which is quite slow compared to the usual 25 or 30, but I have been told it will run close to full speed on a 2Ghz machine.

No matter how old your PC is (unless it is too old to load up the software) the games will look beautiful, far more cleaner looking than on a television screen. Just look at these screenshots that I took to see what I'm talking about:

GiriGiri Saturn 01
GiriGiri Saturn 02
GiriGiri Saturn 03
GiriGiri Saturn 04
GiriGiri Saturn 05

For help on getting the emulator running (it's not so straight forward) have a read of this thread on the panzerdragoon.de forums.

56. Panzer Dragoon X chapter 6.
Date: 10th of April, 2003
Updated By: Solo

Solo Neil has sent me Chapter 6 of Panzer Dragoon X. The story seems to be drawing near to its conclusion, although if the story differs from the expected path I may wrong. You can read Panzer Dragoon X as well as other stories in the Fan Fiction section. If you've written your own fanfic and want it uploaded to this site, please let me know.

55. Panzer Dragoon Orta review complete.
Date: 26th of March, 2003
Updated By: Solo

Solo As I said in the last update, I had a half finished Orta review that I started just after I completed the game back in January. That review is now complete and is quite long for something I would write, but I found that it needed to be because of all the aspects that needed to be talked about. But there are no spoilers so if you haven't played the game yet you can read it in 'safety'. My review of the Japanese version of Panzer Dragoon Orta can be read by clicking here.

I'm interested in hearing what other people thought of the game. Did it live up to the Panzer name? Was the storyline as good? Reviews are a welcome addition to this website so if you write one please do send it to me.

54. One new review and two new pieces of fan art.
Date: 24th of March, 2003
Updated By: Solo

Solo Neil has written the first review of Panzer Dragoon Orta for this site. I should really get around to finishing my half finished one sitting here. But, alas, my time management skills are not as keen as they should be.

I have added two pieces of fan art to The Will of the Ancients as well. Firstly Atolm Rider has drawn a nice picture of the Dark Dragon from the original Panzer Dragoon game. After playing through Panzer Dragoon Orta, Neo-Kun decided to create some more Panzer art too, and came up with his nice render of Orta.

53. The fourth chapter of a drone's dream.
Date: 23rd of March, 2003
Updated By: Solo

Solo The fourth chapter of A Drone's Dream has been added to The Will of the Ancients. I won't spoil anything major, but it shows more of our friendly neighbourhood drone, F2 666. Geoffrey Duke has modified the previous three chapters slightly as well. You can read them in the Fan Fiction section.

One other thing... all the writing that has been under the name of Hedbangr666 has been renamed to Neil. Don't worry, it is the same guy, he just wanted to be known by his real name rather than a screen name. Just so you know...

52. Server problems.
Date: 16th of March, 2003
Updated By: Solo

Solo As some of you have noticed, The Will of the Ancients was offline for several days (since about the 11th) but now everything has been fixed and there should be no problems viewing the site. The reason The Will of the Ancients reverted back to update 49 can be explained too. Here's what IUG, the Webmaster of Macemu.com, had to say about it:

"If you saw on the front page, we just went through some server problems, and we got moved. Unfortunately the backup they used to move us was old, so all the sites went back about 2-3 weeks."

Thankfully I had the whole site backed up on my hard drive and was able to return the site to the way it was.

51. PDX chapters 4 and 5, gold dragon theory, and comic.
Date: 8th of March, 2003
Updated By: Solo

Solo Like the title says, Chapters 4 and 5 of Neil's fanfic are now ready to be read. The point of the story is finally beginning to be explained and we learn more of the character Azrael. As usual, stories can be found in the Fan Fiction section and Panzer Dragoon fans are welcome to submit their own.

A new theory has been written too. Geoffrey Duke explains what the purpose of the two dragons seen in the conclusion of Panzer Dragoon Saga are in this Gold Dragon Theory. The text is illustrated with pictures from the one of the final videos in Saga, but it *Contains Orta Spoilers* - sorry Europeans, just hang in there, it's only mere weeks until you'll be able to safely read this kind of stuff.

Lastly I added a comic that I made to the Fan Art section. A camp member said, "It would be cool to see more fan based comics like this." I would have to agree with her, comics are a positive type of fan content, even if they are as silly as the one I made :)
