10. Panzer Dragoon Official Website updated.
Date: 8th of September, 2002
Source: Panzer Dragoon Official Website
Updated By: Solo
I don't usually post updates on other websites, but this is certainly worth a mention. The Panzer Dragoon Official Website, has been given a new design and some added content. The most interesting addition to the site is the World Section which explains the background story. Although the Babelfish translation wasn't very easy to understand, it seems a drone (possibly the one we saw in the E3 Trailer) is leading a new empire and has created biological weapons in some sort of "life furnace". I'll post more info as it becomes clearer. There are also some new wallpaper on the official site which can be downloaded from the links below:

8. Panzer Dragoon Orta will have surround sound.
Date: 21st of August, 2002
Source: PlanetXbox
Updated By: Solo
In a press release, Dolby Laboratories and Sega of America announced that Panzer Dragoon Orta will feature Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound. Judging by the quality of past Panzer Dragoon soundtracks and now the addition of surround sound, Panzer Dragoon Orta may sound even better than previous titles in the series!
"Dolby Digital will give players information that cannot be visually described on-screen," said Akihiko Mukaiyama, director of Panzer Dragoon ORTA. "With the control system in Panzer Dragoon ORTA, players can look freely to the front, back, left and right while they are flying, allowing them to anticipate key plot points or enemies approaching from different directions, which makes game play experience that much more immersive."

7. New fanfic chapter and theory.
Date: 8th of August, 2002
Updated By: Solo
Shadow has written another chapter of his story, Panzer Dragoon Zero. I've also added another interesting theory to the website about how Sky Rider and Lundi could have possibly been the same person. Thanks to Geoffrey Duke for this latest theory which can be read in the Theories Section.

Date: 7th of August, 2002
Updated By: Solo
Just a short update tonight to tell you I've finally found out who made the Panzer Wing Skin. It was a Panzer Dragoon fan whose screen name is Hikaru Ichijoe. If anyone else out there made something on this website that isn't credited then now's a good time to tell me it's yours.

5. Another fan fiction update.
Date: 3rd of August, 2002
Updated By: Solo
Arc'engal has completed the 6th and 7th chapter of his story, Scourage of the Terrablossom. It's starting to get into the story nicely and is an excellent read for Panzer Dragoon fans. Also Shadow has begun writing a story called Panzer Dragoon Zero, a prequel set in the time just before the Empire came to power. Both can be read in the Fan Fiction section.

4. New theory added.
Date: 3rd of August, 2002
Updated By: Solo
An interesting topic at the Excavation Camp at the moment is what planet Panzer Dragoon is set on. If the world has two moons then it couldn't be Earth. Arc'engal has written a theory about a possible planet that the Ancients could have colonized. You can read it in the Theories section.

3. Fan fiction update.
Date: 2nd of August, 2002
Updated By: Solo
I've updated the Fan Fiction section with some more great writing based on the world on Panzer Dragoon. First up is a new fanfic called Scourage of the Terrablossom which is written by Arc'engal. This story is a continuation of Panzer Dragoon Saga, explaining what happens to Edge next. Windrider has also written another section of his prequel, The Ancients set before the fall of the Ancients. Be sure to have a read of them and the others in the Fan Fiction section.

Sega has confirmed that the latest installment of the Panzer Dragoon series, Panzer Dragoon Orta for Xbox, will be released in North America on November the 2nd. The Japanese version will come out almost two months beforehand, sometime in September. This still leaves European Panzer Dragoon fans wondering when they can get their hands on the next installment of the classic dragon riding series.
